This is the world’s best selling phone handset and the best selling consumer electronics device in the world at the time. Nokia even claimed that the Nokia 1100 was “the world’s most popular phone.”
This phone was a part of their strategy to offer low-cost (simple GSM mobile phone) mobile handsets. Advantages of this model include features like the long-lasting battery and a durable design.
The specs – monochrome display with support for 4 lines of text and a resolution of 96 x 65 pixels, monophonic ringtones, 50-message capacity, alarm, stopwatch, calculator and built-in flashlight, activated by pressing and holding the C key, soft dust-proof keys and of course it had the Snake game. No browser, no camera, no mobile data, basically, it was just a phone for calling and texting.
